The 4-2 La Liga loss FC Barcelona suffered against Osasuna on Saturday was his team’s first of the domestic season, and manager Hansi Flick accepted responsibility for the outcome. He said that his choice to rest important starters contributed to the setback.
Those in charge After winning their first seven La Liga games in a row, Barcelona was taken aback by Osasuna, who had a deadly counterattacking unit led by Ante Budimir, who had two braces, and Bryan Zaragoza, who was a constant threat.
“We had to go out and bite, and that’s how we went out,” Zaragoza said to Movistar Plus. “We knew that Barcelona was a tough team, that they had won everything.”
“I could stay here all night celebrating with the fans; it’s a special and beautiful game to play against Barca,” he said.
“These are the losses you must accept. We performed poorly as a team. I believe that is my duty,” Flick remarked.
“I made an effort to safeguard the players with the rotations because they have been playing a lot of minutes. However, I didn’t think we would play this way.
We were really careless, and Osasuna performed admirably. Even though I haven’t been able to view the second goal, I believe there was a foul at the beginning of play, but that’s just what I’ve heard.
“I’ve told the team that we must persevere, but four goals against us is too much.” Our schedule is packed, but we’re headed in the right direction.
Flick was alluding to an Osasuna player Lucas Torro’s challenge, which occurred while he was standing on Pau Victor’s foot, during the sequence leading up to Zaragoza’s second goal in the 28th minute.
Since neither the referee nor the VAR noticed an infraction, the goal was awarded.
Pedri, who was clearly irritated, told Movistar Plus, “For me, it is a clear foul.”
“There are a lot of matches, so (team) rotations are common. That is not a justification. We were penalized by the score at halftime and forced to exit with 11 players.
We didn’t do well in the first half. We didn’t perform well at the game. We should have had a bit more in the second half, but our greatest play was when the goals came in.
