Coke Studio Bangla Delves into Self-Discovery with Upbeat Folk-Fusion Track 'Ma Lo Ma'
Ma Lo Ma is the second song of Coke Studio Bangla Season 3

Following Tati's beautiful ode to Bengali weavers, Coke Studio Bangla has released the second track from their current third season. The upbeat song, Ma Lo Ma, explores existential topics while going deep into life's journey and self-discovery.

As music producer, Pritom Hasan brings his distinct style to the composition, as do Shagor and Arif Dewan, whose lineage dates back to the original author of Ma Lo Ma Jhi Lo Jhi. Aly Hasan, a rapper, joins them.

Ma Lo Ma, written by Md Khalek Dewan and produced by Shayan Chowdhury Arnob and Pritom Hasan, is a song that lyrically addresses the intricacies of adulthood and nostalgia, inspiring reflection on one's life's purpose. It discovers the possibility of acceptance and personal development amid this inquiry.

The song, which combines folk elements with modern music, illustrates themes of progress and self-discovery through metaphors such as a broken boat symbolizing life and a river representing the world. The addition of Chaad Petano Gaan, a Mughal-era variation of Shaari Gaan, gives the piece depth and reflects the blending of traditional and urban elements.

The folk fusion track has lead vocalists Jannatul Firdous Akbar, Shanta Islam, and Samsan Rayna Ahmed among a diverse group of artists who collaborated on it. The musicians Nafius Salam Yani on guitar, Pradyut Chatterjea on keyboards, and Md Jalal Ahammad on flute join them.
