Trinamul Congress Plans Series of Rallies Across West Bengal Post Mega Brigade Parade Ground Event
Abhishek Banerjee to Address Five Significant Rallies Focused on Deprivation by Centre
In addition to the massive gathering at Brigade Parade Ground in Calcutta on March 10, the Trinamul Congress on Saturday planned five significant rallies around West Bengal between March 14 and 22 in anticipation of the Lok Sabha elections.
The party said on its X account that Abhishek Banerjee, the national general secretary, would speak at each of these rallies, which are intended to be a follow-up to the massive 'Jono Gorjan Sabha' (roar of the masses) in Calcutta. The goal of these gatherings is to attract a minimum of one lakh participants.
"The rallies will have the special focus on those deprived by Centre, of MGNREGA/Awaas money by the BJP-led Centre," stated the statement.
March 14 in Jalpaiguri; 16 in Narayangarh, Paschim Medinipur; 18 in Gangarampur, Dakshin Dinajpur; 20 in Basirhat, North 24 Parganas; and 22 in Purba Bardhaman are the dates of the rallies.
TMC chief Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee are expected to speak at the Calcutta event, according to party sources.
