PM Modi greets Jharkhand on foundation day, announces Rs 24,
Modi also pays tribute to Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the people of Jharkhand on the state's formation day and said it is known for its tribal population's bravery, valour and pride besides its mineral riches.
"My family members" from Jharkhand have made significant contribution to the country's progress, he said on X, wishing the eastern state a bright future.

In addition, Modi is in Jharkhand, where he landed yesterday night in order to introduce on Wednesday a Rs 24,000-crore program for the welfare of the tribal communities who are especially vulnerable.
The program is being started to commemorate Birsa Munda, a respected tribal warrior,'s birth anniversary. Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is another celebration held on this day. Modi also honored the legendary figure with a post on X.
