Supreme Court Upholds High Court Ruling in Bengal Government Workers' DA Case

In a significant decision, the Supreme Court on Friday declined to move the hearing in the Bengal government workers' dearness allowances (DA) case to a non-miscellaneous day. The advocates for the Bengal government workers had argued that the DA case was complex and that it would be better to hear it on a non-miscellaneous day. However, the Supreme Court ultimately decided to proceed with the hearing on February 5.
