On Friday, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, said that women may now be elected to state legislatures and the parliament.

During a speech after the commencement of the "Shakti Vandan Abhiyan" organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan here, he made this statement about the Nari Shakti Vandan Act.

"The Nari Shakti Vandan Act (Women's Reservation Act) will be implemented across the state," Adityanath said.

A provision for thirty-three percent quota for women in the Lok Sabha and state legislatures is included in the Nari Shakti Vandan Act.

Adityanath said that "after this Act, no political party can stop women from reaching the legislative assemblies and Parliament" .

Vijaya Rahatkar, national secretary of the BJP, was the program's principal guest, according to an official release.

Adityanath commented on the consecration event of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, stating that it was made possible by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a protracted 500-year war.

It was a crusade to restore public confidence, trust, and pride in India, not merely a consecration event. The whole globe is now drawn to Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya Dham," he said.

Adityanath stated that in line with the idea of "Ram Rajya," the prime minister has been developing programs over the past nine and a half years with the consideration of farmers, women, youth, and members of all social classes, without any form of discrimination. The minister has also started a campaign to ensure that the beneficiaries of these programs receive their benefits.

He stated that by including half of the nation's people in these programmes, Modi's leadership has created a new India that is being shown to the outside community.

According to the BJP representative, all of the programmes, including as the Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Matru Vandana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and the Prime Minister Jan Dhan Account, demonstrate respect for women.

He said that the Mukhyamantri Mass Marriage Scheme has successfully completed the dowry-free marriage program for over three lakh women, while 17 lakh girls in Uttar Pradesh are linked to the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana.

On the occasion were state Mahila Morcha president Geeta Shakya, state BJP chairman Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Deputy chairman Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, and state general secretary (organization) of the BJP, Dharampal Singh.
