BTS's Jung Kook Surprises Fans with Times Square Performance

Jung Kook of BTS surprised the assembled throng in Times Square with a performance.

The 26-year-old member of BTS took the stage at TSX Entertainment in Times Square on Thursday night to perform for his job.

Deadline, an industry news source, claims that the performance announcement was made only hours before to the appearance.

On the TSX Stage, Jung Kook made his appearance accompanied by dancers.

He said, "Let's have fun," and then launched into the song "Standing Next to You." He performed a number of songs from his most recent solo album, "Golden".

The concert was streamed live on Xbox Twitch or the BTS YouTube channel for fans who weren't in New York. More than 280,000 people reportedly watched the performance virtually.

This location is wonderful. Before playing "Yes Or No," Jung Kook said, "It's an honor to perform in Times Square, New York." The South Korean pop sensation also sang his number one single with Latto, "Seven," along with "3D" and "Please Don't Change."

It is a privilege for us to have collaborated on this momentous occasion for Jung Kook and the whole BTS group. With many chart-topping songs under his solo career, he has already established history, and we have no doubt this album will carry on the tradition. "This is a historic occasion for the music industry, especially for K-Pop fans, and it's important for Times Square and New York City," co-CEO of TSX Entertainment Nick Holmsten stated in a news release.
