The cast of "Lahore 1947" directed by Rajkumar Santoshi comprises actor Abhimanyu Singh, the producers revealed on Friday.
Aamir Khan Productions is behind the forthcoming historical drama starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
The adversary in "Lahore 1947" will be played by Singh, who is well-known for films like "Gulaal," "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela," and "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan."
"Usually, Amrish (Puri) ji and Danny (Denzongpa) ji are the first few characters that spring to mind when we think of a villain, but we also need to look forward and see who's picking up the slack.
It's interesting to note that Abhimanyu Singh has been cast in the film 'Lahore 1947', where he will portray a formidable enemy. His voice, his conviction, and his passion are just unmatched. Without a doubt, he is among the most gifted performers working today," Santoshi stated in a statement.
The storyline of "Lahore 1947" has not been revealed in full.
A R Rahman will compose the music and Javed Akhtar will write the lyrics. Santosh Sivan has been hired to direct the photography.
