Box Office Mojo reports that Disney-Pixar's Inside Out 2 became the fastest animated movie to surpass the USD 1-billion mark at the global box office in just 19 days.

This record was held until Sunday by Frozen II (2019) by Walt Disney Animation Studios, which made $1 billion in revenue in just 25 days.

The animated picture directed by Kelsey Mann brought in USD 469.3 million in North America and USD 545.5 million from outside markets, for a total of USD 1.015 billion globally, according to Box Office Mojo.

Thanks to its endearing plot and likable characters, Inside Out 2 has gained widespread popularity and critical acclaim. Riley, who is now a teenager, is followed throughout the movie as her emotions work through the challenges of puberty.

With this achievement, Inside Out 2 becomes the first film of 2024 to break the $1 billion mark, further establishing its status as a box office titan. The movie's commercial success strengthens Disney and Pixar's hegemony in the animation sector. By achieving this, they became the first people to have produced eight of the twelve animated films to break the $1 billion mark.
