AIIMS Bhubaneswar to launch three new departments focused on infectious diseases, bioinformatics, and biostatistics
Institute also starts new academic programs in pediatric surgery, pulmonology, and nephrology
Three more departments focused on infectious illnesses, bioinformatics, and biostatistics are slated to launch at the AIIMS in Bhubaneswar.
On the occasion of the institute's 11th annual day on Tuesday, Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, executive director of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, declared this.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Biswas noted that the launch of these three departments has received clearance from the institute's standing academic committee.
A six-year M.CH. program in pediatric surgery, a DM program in pediatric pulmonology and intensive care, and specialized programs in pediatric infectious illnesses and DM nephrology are among the new academic programs the institute has started, according to him.
Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, director of the IIT in Bhubaneswar and the chief guest, praised AIIMS for its superior medical care.
