Alia Bhatt Joins YRF Spy Universe as Leading Lady!
Bollywood Actress to Star in Upcoming Action Entertainer
CEO of Yash Raj Films Akshaye Widhani said on Tuesday that Alia Bhatt will be starring in a movie set in the YRF spy universe, with filming set to commence later this year.
An ambitious franchise, the YRF spy universe will see characters from many movies cross paths with one another. YRF spy universe includes the movies "Tiger" starring Salman Khan, "War" featuring Hrithik Roshan, and "Pathaan" starring Shah Rukh Khan.
One of the studio's most valued intellectual properties, Widhani described the YRF spy world as "a financial and cultural juggernaut" during his speech at FICCI Frames.
"I'll reveal the worst-kept secret in the business: Alia Bhatt will be starring in a spy universe movie, with a release date set for later this year. Confirming rumors on the actor's casting, Widhani stated, "We are actually just so thrilled and excited about having this IP in the studio."
The spy universe is going to see a lot of new developments. There will be an increasing number of movies produced under it. I can only tell for now that Alia Bhatt is starring in a movie set in the spy universe," he stated.
Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh are scheduled to collaborate on the untitled movie. They will appear in the action entertainer as super-agents.
"War 2" is the upcoming spy movie by YRF, starring Roshan, NTR Jr., and Kiara Advani. The director is going to be Ayan Mukerji.
