Ari Aster's 'Eddington' Begins Production with Star-Studded Cast

This week marks the start of production for renowned director Ari Aster's next project, Eddington. The fun doesn't end there, as Aster has assembled a group of celebrities from Hollywood's biggest names.

Emma Stone, a recent Oscar winner, Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Austin Butler are among the cast members. Luke Grimes, Deirdre O'Connell, Michael Ward, and Clifton Collins Jr. are joining them.

Darius Khondji, a cinematographer who has been nominated for two Oscars, will be shooting Aster's contemporary Westerner. Aster and Lars Knudsen are producing the movie with A24 under their Square Peg production firm.

Greetings from EDDINGTON. Soon to be released on X is Ari Aster's contemporary western, which stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, Luke Grimes, Austin Butler, Deirdre O'Connell, Michael Ward, and Clifton Collins Jr.

Aster and Joaquin Phoenix, who worked together on the 2023 movie Beau Is Afraid, which also starred Patti LuPone, Nathan Lane, and Amy Ryan, will rejoin for Eddington. Starring in the much awaited Joker: Folie à Deux sequel, which opens in theaters in October, is Phoenix, who won the 2019 Oscar for best actor for his role in Joker.

While "internet daddy" Pedro Pascal is best recognized for his appearances in HBO's The Last of Us and Drive-Away Dolls, Emma Stone won her second Academy Award for her performance in Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things. Austin Butler, who won praise for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann's 2022 film Elvis, is currently receiving praise for his work in Dune: Part Two.
