Australia and New Zealand Gear Up for T20I Series Ahead of T20 World Cup

With an eye on the T20 World Cup this year, Australia and New Zealand will be assembling their final teams for the T20I series, which kicks off here at the Sky Stadium on Wednesday.

The T20 showcase, which takes place in the Caribbean and the US starting on June 4, is less than four months away.

In lieu of a rested Kane Williamson, New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner dismissed rumors that his team was the "underdogs" against Australia. In this T20I series, the left-arm spinner thinks the Black Caps will put up a fierce fight.

Santner said on Tuesday, "We don't think much about it because we're used to such a tag."

"When the Australians visit, it's usually a very fun time. You always want to test yourself against the world's greatest.

Australia will have a full-strength team after defeating the West Indies 2-1 in the series. Auckland is home to the other two games.
