Batman: Caped Crusader Animated Series Set to Premiere on Amazon Prime Video in August
First-Look Images Revealed, Exciting Fans Worldwide
The streamer revealed on Thursday that a brand-new, ten-episode animated Batman series from Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves will debut on Amazon Prime Video in August. The announcement included exclusive first-look photos of some of the beloved characters.
The stills from the television series Batman: Caped Crusader include appearances by Clayface, Commissioner Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn in addition to Batman.

"There will be Gotham City nights soon. August 1st marks the release of Batman: Caped Crusader, a new series from Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves, according to an Instagram post from Prime Video.
The series' IMDb storyline synopsis states, "After a family tragedy, socialite Bruce Wayne transforms into The Batman, where his crusade for justice spawns unforeseen ramifications."
Written by Bob Kane, Ed Brubaker, and Greg Rucka, Batman: Caped Crusader is based on the DC comic book character. The show is executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Ed Brubaker, Matt Reeves, Sam Register, and Bruce Timm. Warner Bros. Animation, 6th & Idaho, and Bad Robot Productions are the producers.
Following the events of the Emmy-winning Batman: The Animated Series, which Bruce Timm co-created with Bob Kane, Bill Finger, and others, Batman: Caped Crusader will pick up. Fox channel carried 85 episodes of it between 1992 and 1995.
The animated series was originally scheduled to debut on Max. Prime Video revealed that a two-season series would be produced following its cancellation last year.
