Celebrity Highlights: Alanna Panday's Baby Shower, Kangana Ranaut's Ventures, and Nandita Puri's Film Role

"I can't wait to start a family with you," was the statement that newlywed and LA-based influencer Alanna Panday, who also happens to be Ananya Panday's cousin and Chunky Panday's niece, wrote on Instagram in March of last year. She returned to Mumbai a year later to celebrate her baby shower; Ivor Junior is due in July.

The baby shower with a blue and white theme will stand out in my memory for two reasons. One is theatrical, the other emotional.

About to make his screen debut in an action romance with YRF, Ahaan, Alanna's younger brother, was sent by his father Chikki to accompany me to the vehicle. Aditya Roy Kapur, who had gallantly picked up my purse and held onto it until he was certain I was well and on my feet, was one image that stuck in my mind. This relates to Calcutta. Nandita Puri, the spouse of Om Puri, appears in the Friday-released movie Yes Papa. She portrays a mother who does nothing but watch as her husband abuses their daughter sexually for years. The reason Calcutta comes to mind is because Nandita and Om fell in love when he was filming City of Joy. She had gone to interview him in her capacity as a journalist, and she had returned with a scoop about herself and Om.
