Haris Rauf and Imam-ul-Haq Star as Pakistan Beat Bangladesh by Seven Wickets in Asia Cup Super Four Clash

Pakistan beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in a Super Four match of the Asia Cup on Wednesday, with fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi and opener Imam-ul-Haq taking the plaudits.

Rauf was the pick of the bowlers, taking four wickets for 19 runs in his four overs. He was ably supported by Shaheen Afridi, who took three wickets for 26 runs.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 193 in 47.5 overs, with opener Tamim Iqbal top-scoring with 62 runs.

In reply, Pakistan reached their target in 39.3 overs with seven wickets in hand. Imam-ul-Haq scored 78 runs off 84 balls, while Mohammad Rizwan made 63 not out off 79 balls.

The win puts Pakistan in a strong position to qualify for the final of the Asia Cup. They will face Sri Lanka in their final Super Four match on Friday.

The match was a clinical performance by Pakistan, who were in control from the start. Rauf and Shaheen Afridi were both excellent with the ball, and Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan were both solid with the bat.

Bangladesh will be disappointed with their performance, but they can take some positives from the match. Tamim Iqbal batted well, and their bowlers showed some fight in the second innings.

The win was a much-needed one for Pakistan, who had lost their previous two matches in the Asia Cup. They will be hoping to carry the momentum into their final Super Four match against Sri Lanka.
