Heartwarming Tributes and Legacy: From Raveena Tandon to Alia Bhatt

It's a positive prelude to International Women's Day. under addition to Yami Gautam and Priyamani solidifying their positions of authority under Article 370, February 16 was a memorable day for fathers and daughters together. When the Ravi Tandon Chowk was opened in Juhu close to the PVR theater, Raveena Tandon was very much in control. She was the one who approached Mumbai MLAs Ashish Shelar and Ameet Satam about naming a chowk after her late father. Alongside her daughter Rasha, Raveena asked her mother Veena to officially open it. She also made sure that the several media guys on the route received little potlis of prasad. She would have pleased Ravi Tandon.

An hour later, an evening honoring their father Pandit Pandharinath Kolhapure was thrown by the three Kolhapure sisters, Shivangi, Padmini, and Tejaswini, all of whom had a background in classical music. His legacy was perpetuated via concerts with singer Savaniee Ravindra and rudra veena musician Vidushi Jyoti Hegde, who is the sole female player in the nation. The 150-year-old Kolhapure family rudra veena took center stage on the platform. It was a great vintage evening.

A week later, when Poacher, a crime thriller about the horrific ivory slaughter in Kerala, became available on Amazon, the chest of another father began to expand. Poacher, which was created by Emmy Award winner Richie Mehta—the guy behind the Delhi Crime series—has the support of Alia Bhatt's production company, Eternal Sunshine, which she founded with her sister Shaheen.

As a parent, seeing my daughters Alia, Pooja, and Shaheen's abiding love of animals makes me feel very proud, says Mahesh Bhatt. Their relationship with the natural world has always been close. Alia's dedication to wildlife protection is shown by her role as executive producer in the online series about poaching. Her love of protecting the environment is a reflection of her sensitivity and compassion. I am inspired by her bravery, vision, and unwavering will to make the world a better place like her father.

Bravo, Alia, for making the most of your notoriety.

Rajil, the son of Ameen Sayani, has asked to meet with me twice in the last month to provide ideas for his father's book. Since I had to go both times, Monday the 26th was frozen. But I'm assuming there will be another delay since Ameen passed away six days before to the conference.

Ameen had an amazing collection of tales. He would often discuss with me how neither he nor his Kashmiri Hindu wife, Rama, abandoned their respective faiths. He remained at her side during a protracted sickness, signifying a lifetime devotion. Ameen extended the same warmth of greeting to his daughter-in-law, Jyoti.

Ameen used to host our Star & Style awards, and I had to assist him during the whole event in addition to collaborating with him to finalize the script and flow. He would jokingly address me as "Vividh Bharti." He was comfortable with the stars, so when, for example, Ashok Kumar and Mehmood performed an impromptu item together or Raj Kapoor danced impromptu with my editor after winning an award, he could easily improvise. It was such a cozy moment.

Even though he is well-known for his opening statement, "Behenon aur bhaiyon," most ladies were astonished by Ameen's alluring demeanor in person and his alluring voice over the microphone.

I took Ameen out to lunch one day with three other pals. Grinning, he said he was the luckiest guy in the room to be alone with four ladies.

Rajil often told me that Ameen's father had finished writing his autobiography, even though Ameen wrote it himself. That was almost three years in the past. Considering how long Rajil has been delaying the autobiography, I wonder what his future ambitions are. I wish it had been released when Ameen was still alive. Goodbye to the guy with the beautiful voice.
