India and England have so far in the World Cup produced different outcomes by using different strategies. And on Sunday, it's unlikely that this will alter.

While England is trying to hold onto their title from four years ago, India is expected to win the league stage.

The team captained by Rohit Sharma has chased effectively for five games in a row, and has scarcely failed.

England's ultra-aggressive style of play in white-ball cricket set the standard, leading to world victories in both shorter formats.

But it's obvious that the boom or bust strategy hasn't worked in Indian conditions, as the reigning champions are about to make an embarrassing exit.

Is Ashwin going to play?

India has very little to worry about in comparison to England, although they will be without Hardik Pandya's all-around services for the next few games at least.

On a pitch that would have benefited the spinners, R Ashwin would have normally taken Shardul Thakur's place. Nevertheless, the team management is forced to use just five bowlers due to Hardik's absence.

For the game on Sunday, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja enter the lineup.

India will have to decide between Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami, who demonstrated his world-class credentials with five wickets in Dharamsala, to make room for Ashwin as the third spinner. Selecting between the two established performers will be difficult.

SKY and Shreyas' chance to play in England

With Rohit's audacious strokeplay during the powerplay, the Indian hitters have created the perfect model for opposing teams to imitate. Whether they are on autopilot or under pressure, as they were against Australia, India has perfected the art of chasing.

Suryakumar Yadav is the team's selection at number six in Hardik's absence. The X factor player, who was unfortunate to be run out in his opening match of the competition, will be eager to contribute.

After Shreyas Iyer was dismissed in Dharamsala, the conversation turned back to his never-ending battles with the short ball. He'll be driven to disprove those who doubt him.

Shubman Gill deserves extra attention because he missed the first few games due to dengue. The crowd in Lucknow also witnessed Virat Kohli's 49th century, a record-tying performance.

At this cutting-edge stadium, Uttar Pradesh-born wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav will try to trick the England hitters. He passed the test admirably against the ferocious Daryl Mitchell, and he'll be primed for the England match.

Will England adopt a different batting strategy?

England would be looking to put together a respectable performance following a run of utter failures, and they have plenty of firepower in the batting department.

Harry Brook, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, and Jos Buttler. Despite being well-known names in the world of cricket, they have all encountered difficulties in their familiar surroundings.

In the shortest format, going all out from ball one is imperative, but the requirements of the ODI format are distinct. England's batters need to be more adept at assessing the situation and adjusting their approach accordingly.

Although they all enjoy hitting the ball over the net, the Lucknow pitch may prevent them from doing so. One batter who has different gears than the others is Root; others must follow him and exercise patience when needed.

Due to the injury that has ruled out England's star pacer Reece Topley for the tournament, the bowling department is also quite concerning. He has been replaced in the squad by Brydon Carse. Mark Wood will be seeking a course correction because he hasn't been at his best lately.

The combination of Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid's spin, though, might be a threat to the hot Indian hitters.

The 50,000-seat stadium will be packed to the gills when the home team plays.

The England squad consists of the following players: Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes, Brydon Carse, David Willey, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, Moeen Ali, Gus Atkinson, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid.

India's lineup includes Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rohit Sharma .
