In the first teaser for Chandu Champion, the biopic on India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar, a toned Kartik Aaryan wrestles, boxes, and sprints to fulfill his childhood dream of being a "champion" after miraculously surviving near-fatal gunshot injuries as an Indian soldier.

The makers released a three-minute and fifteen-second teaser on Sunday. It begins with Kartik's character Chandu waking up from a coma following a war in 1967. The scenes that follow follow Chandu's journey from a sleepy village to the Indian Army.

Murlikant's classmates call him "Chandu Champion" and make fun of him for having dreams. "Why do you laugh, Hasta Kaheko Hai?" With a strong Marathi accent, Chandu accepts the task of proving his tormentors incorrect.

Murlikant joins the army after realizing that competing in village tournaments will not advance him in society. Tara Singh serves as an inspiration for Murlikant, who starts his intense training and changes physically. We also have a glimpse of Kartik sparring in front of a sizable crowd of fans while donning boxing gloves and a mouth protection.

While preparing for the Olympics, Chandu finds it difficult to keep his relationship with his family together due to constant taunting. His self-belief and unwavering attitude, nonetheless, enable him to continue.

The final scene of the trailer features footage from Murlikant's three different eras in life: boxer, wrestler, and soldier.

This incredible story of a guy who persevered in the face of adversity is presented. His unrelenting dedication and never-say-die mentality helped to make history. The description of the trailer that was released on YouTube states, "This is the story of Chandu Champion."

"With immense pride and joy, sharing the trailer of my career's toughest and most special film that too from my hometown Gwalior where i dreamt of becoming an actor," Kartik wrote on his Instagram account after posting the teaser. "#Chandu Champion ????????, the tale of a man who refused to give up," he continued. I hope it uplifts your spirits, amuses you, and motivates you to reach your objectives in the same way as Mr. Murlikant Petkar, the pride of India.

Chandu Champion, which is helmed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, will open in theaters on June 14.
