for Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the members of the Indian cricket team for winning the T20 World Cup over the phone.

According to officials, Modi praised Rohit Sharma's T20 career and commended him on his outstanding captaincy. Along with his overall contribution to Indian cricket, he also praised Virat Kohli for his innings in the championship match.


After the victory, both legendary players declared their retirement from Twenty20 internationals.

Hardik Pandya, who dismissed David Miller with a brilliant catch on the boundary line, and Suryakumar Yadav, who bowled him out, were both commended by Modi. The officials also mentioned how much he appreciated Jaspreet Bumrah's contribution.

For his services to Indian cricket, coach Rahul Dravid received gratitude from the prime minister.
