Rajasthan Royals Favored Against Struggling Royal Challengers Bangalore: IPL 2024 Preview

Rajasthan Royals are the clear favorites against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their home game on Saturday thanks to an all-win record and a superior bowling attack.

In the IPL 2024, Rajasthan has been dominant, winning all three of their games so far, while RCB has struggled to start, winning only once in their last four games.

In addition to teenage Riyan Parag's outstanding batting performance, Rajasthan has benefited from the bowling performances of Trent Boult, Nadre Burger, and Yuzvendra Chahal.

While the others have also been very average, the RCB are still waiting for Mohammed Siraj, their greatest option with the ball, to establish his rhythm.

Though their batting was supposed to be their strength, the larger worry for RCB is this. Despite having a wealth of skill and strength in the batting area, Virat Kohli is the only player who has had an impact on the IPL so far. Anuj Rawat, a keeper-batter for the Royals, is second best on the team with 69, behind Kohli's 144 in four games.

That concludes the terrible tale of RCB so far. With players like Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, and Faf du Plessis in the lineup, it is almost criminal for RCB to bat the way they have so far.

As Steve Smith said, Kohli is "under a lot of pressure" as a result of the RCB hitters' collective collapse. Former Australia captain Smith said on Star Sports that "he (Kohli) needs the other key batters to stand up with him, and if they do that, they can turn things around for their season."

It's not like Rajasthan is unconcerned about their batting lineup. Although skipper Sanju Samson has looked in excellent form and Riyan (181 runs, two fifties) has batted like a dream, Rajasthan will be worried about how their openers, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal, have performed so far. Buttler seems a bit confused, and Yashasvi hasn't been able to duplicate the success he had before this IPL.

However, against RCB's unreliable batting lineup, Rajasthan, the 2008 IPL champions, can afford to rely on their potent bowlers to make the decisions. Naturally, that is, unless Maxwell, Du Plessis, and Kohli, the power three, decide to bat to their actual ability.
