After receiving backlash for liking a post that criticized The Archies actors Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor for their on-screen acting, actress Raveena Tandon removed an apology note she had posted on Instagram on Monday.
Social media and touch buttons. A sincere error has been exaggerated," the 49-year-old actress stated on Sunday on Instagram. She went on, saying, "The like was made in error and something that I was not even aware of that had been pressed by scrolling," and she apologized deeply for any "inconvenience" that this had caused.
Her apology post, though, was removed early on Monday morning after receiving mixed reviews.
The Archies, which debuted on Netflix on December 7, features the acting debuts of Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of Sridevi, Agastya, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, and Shah Rukh Khan. Following the film's release on streaming services, the youthful ensemble encountered harsh criticism and harassment on social media platforms.
The Instagram reel that featured a scene from the movie with Agastya and Khushi was the post that Raveena unintentionally liked. "Acting died here" was written on the video.
The Archies is an Indian adaptation of the well-known American comics series of the same name, set in the hill station of Riverdale in 1964. The Archies, which is produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films, also stars Aditi Dot, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, and Mihir Ahuja.
