The "RRR" crew hailed the SS Rajamouli-directed picture as "the most celebrated film" in Indian cinema as they celebrated the film's second anniversary on Monday.

"RRR" (released on March 25, 2022) was a fictional pre-independence tale centered around two real-life Indian rebels from the 1920s: Alluri Sitarama Raju (played by Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR).

With nearly Rs 1,200 crore in box office receipts worldwide, the movie went on to become the first feature film production from India to win an Oscar for best original song for its Telugu song "Naatu Naatu". To commemorate the film's second anniversary of release, "RRR"'s official X page released a still from the picture.

"Two years, two storms, two together shook the world!! #RRRMovie," the caption for the Charan and Jr. NTR photo stated.

The movie's production company, DVV Entertainment, also posted something on social media.

The banner said, "Two years for the most celebrated film ever in Indian Cinema. #RRRMovie," on X. Recently, Rajamouli went to a special "RRR" screening in Japan. As per the director's earlier posts on X, the 110-year-old Takarazuka Revue Company, a Japanese all-female musical theater organization, has converted the film into a musical.
