Thieves Steal 17 Mobile Phones from Shah Rukh Khan Fans Outside His Home on His Birthday
Police Register Two FIRs Against Unidentified Individuals
At least 17 of the hundreds of people who had gathered outside Shah Rukh Khan's suburban Bandra home to wish the Bollywood actor a happy 58th birthday had had their cell phones stolen by thieves, according to police on Friday.
According to an official, the incident happened early on Thursday morning as a throng of SRK fans flocked to his house, "Mannat," in hopes of seeing the actor on his birthday.
In this regard, the Bandra police on Thursday, he said, registered two separate offences against unidentified persons.
According to the official, a 23-year-old photographer from a national newspaper filed the first complaint.
In response to his grievance, he and his companions arrived at Bandra Bandstand and joined the throng outside Mannat. The official stated that the complainant discovered his phone—which he had been carrying in his pocket—was missing at around 12:30 in the morning.
Many others had also lost their phones, the official said, and the photographer quickly found out. To report the theft, he went to the Bandra police station. Then, more of the actor's admirers showed up to voice similar grievances.
According to the official, the police investigated the complaints and filed a first information report (FIR) for theft against the unidentified individuals.
