AAP MP Swati Maliwal, who was allegedly assaulted by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal aide Bibhav Kumar, has filed an FIR against him. The incident reportedly took place at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday.
In the FIR, Maliwal claimed that Kumar hit her with “full force again and again”. She alleges that she was “kicked and slapped seven to eight times”. The assault has left her with visible injuries, as confirmed by her medical report.
Maliwal’s medical examination was conducted on Friday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). According to her medico-legal certificate (MLC), Maliwal has “bruises over the proximal left leg dorsal aspect of approx size 3x2 cm and right cheek elbow below the right eye of approx size 2x2 cm”.
The alleged assault on Maliwal has sparked outrage and calls for a thorough investigation into the incident. The incident raises serious concerns about the safety and security of public representatives. As of now, no statement has been released by the office of the Chief Minister or Bibhav Kumar regarding the allegations.
