Superstar Akshay Kumar expressed his optimism on Tuesday that his upcoming movie "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" will break his recent run of poor box office performance, something he has frequently experienced in his more than three decades in show business.

The majority of Akshay's recent films, such as "Mission Raniganj," "Raksha Bandhan," and "Samrat Prithviraj," haven't performed well at the box office. "OMG 2" was an exception, with the actor playing a crucial part.

At one point, Akshay said that he had given 16 consecutive flops, but he had persevered and would do so going forward.

"I have worked on numerous films, including Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Airlift, Rustom, and many others. There is success occasionally and failure at other times. It's not as though I haven't witnessed (this stage) previously. I used to have sixteen straight flops at one point.

"Yet I just stood there and carried on with my task. I will continue to do that. 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' is a film that we have all been working very hard on. We will now view the outcomes. We're crossing our fingers and hoping that this will bring us everyone luck," the actor told local reporters.

He was speaking during the "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" trailer launch. Along with director Ali Abbas Zafar, co-stars Tiger Shroff, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, and Prithviraj Sukumaran were present at the occasion.

The film "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" stars Tiger and Akshay as two elite soldiers on a mission to retrieve a stolen AI weapon from the enemy, Sukumaran, while doing daring stunts.

The most risky stunt Akshay has ever completed for a movie, according to the action hero who solidified his reputation in the 1990s, was jumping off a moving airplane onto a runway and then jumping onto a hot air balloon to rescue the lead actress.

"It was insane. I was insane. There was seventy percent possibility that I wouldn't make it out alive, but thank God I was safe. I wouldn't do it again because it was so hard. I'm advised not to repeat those actions.

"I've grown somewhat (logical). I now give things ten thought before trying something similar. The primary worry these days is safety, and insurance is involved. Currently, my main responsibility is to maintain my health," the 56-year-old legend continued.

Tiger claimed that, in contrast to Akshay, he doesn't give stunts much thought beforehand.

"Our incredible crew, which includes the stunt director, producers, and director of photography, keeps everything very secure for us. In this movie, we had to perform numerous challenging stunts, but we had plenty time to prepare and practice. Thus, it came naturally to her. We think following our antics," he remarked. Working with Akshay, according to the 34-year-old, was "one of the best experiences of my life".

I had looked up to Akshay Sir since I was a young child. This dude right here is the reason I am an action hero today," the man remarked.

"Tiger Zinda Hai" and "Sultan" star Ali stated that the largest problem with a multi-star movie such as "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" was to validate the prominence of each individual star.

"It's critical that you craft a narrative and character that support the roles of the two equally significant girls in the films as well as the three celebrities. Hindi film is renowned for its star-celebrating films. I believe we stopped doing that when material started to advance some time ago," the filmmaker remarked.

"Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" has the potential to become a franchise, according to Sukumaran, 41.

"When I heard Ali tell the story. I was paying close attention to the two hero tunes. It was a lot of fun. It has all the makings of a successful franchise. "Aadujeevitham, my Malayalam film, is coming out soon. The good thing about the franchise is much like James Bond or 'Mission: Impossible' films (where) usually the story of the film is villain and then the heroes come and save the world," the actor remarked.

Working with Akshay on her first movie, "Samrat Prithviraj," former Miss World Chhillar referred to the actor as a "guiding force" in her career.

"He always gives me advise because he feels protective of me. I call him all the time to ask questions like, "How do I do this?" or "How do I attempt that?" He is the original in action," the 26-year-old remarked.

"I was thrilled to be involved in this effort. I had to start over when I realized that I would be performing a lot of action, something I had never done before. It was nerve-wracking for her to share screen time with two of the biggest action stars, she continued.

Made by Pooja Entertainment in collaboration with AAZ, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" will premiere on April 10 in honor of Eid.
