Amazon Prime Video Teases Mirzapur Season 3 Premiere Date

The highly anticipated third season of the popular crime thriller series Mirzapur, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Shweta Tripathi Sharma, was teased by streaming service Amazon Prime Video on Thursday.

Prime Video posted a series of stills on Instagram with the major actors and the caption, "Bhaukaal machne wala hai kya?"

In one of the photos, Pankaj Tripathi—who plays the character Akhandanand Tripathi, also known as Kaleen Bhaiya—is seen having a serious phone conversation. "Aaj kal MS3W bhut sunne mai aa rha hai" is the amusing caption that goes with the photo. "These days we are hearing a lot about Mirzapur Season 3)"

Another image depicts Radheshyam Agarwal of Priyanshu Painyuli conversing with Ali Fazal's Govind Pandit, also known as Guddu Bhaiya. "Bhaukaal macha denge agar nahi bataoge MS3W (We will cause chaos if you don't tell us when Mirzapur Season 3 will release)" is the caption on the image. A few more images show Pankaj Tripathi asking about the movie's release date, and the last image shows Divyenndu's Phoolchand Tripathi conversing with Madhuri, played by Isha Talwar. "Ek last baar ijjat se asking MS3W (Respectfully asking for the release date of Mirzapur Season 3 one last time)" is the caption that was scribbled on the picture.

Fans of the gritty underworld thriller were inspired to wonder about whether the captions of the photo hinted at the series' debut date. Social media user "Month September Third Week = MS3W" made this observation.

The Excel Entertainment-produced film Mirzapur, which is directed by Gurmeet Singh, explores the illicit weapon trade and gang warfare in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Following his character's demise in the second season of the show, which debuted in October 2020, Divyenndu recently disclosed in an interview with the storytelling platform Humans of Bombay, located in Mumbai, that he will not be reprising his role as Munna Bhaiya in the third season.
