After a ten-year absence, Academy Award–winning composer A.R. Rahman will perform in Singapore again, the organizers said on Tuesday.

On August 31, the National Stadium will host the event. The last time the 57-year-old composer appeared in Singapore was at Gardens by the Bay in 2014.

"Hello, Singapore! A decade has passed! We can't wait to play in our favorite city once more! Come celebrate with us on August 31 at the National Stadium. Tickets are available now," Rahman's concert organizers, Maestro Productions, posted on Instagram.

Rahman will play at Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Jalil National Stadium on July 27 before traveling to Singapore. He made his first-ever European music tour last year, including shows in France, Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

With five consecutive film soundtracks to his credit this year—Lal Salaam, Ayalaan, Aadujeevitham, Maidaan, and Amar Singh Chamkila—Rahman has his hands full. Additionally, he will compose the soundtrack for Dhanush's Raayan.

The composer was present at the 77th Cannes Film Festival to promote Headhunting to Beatboxing, a documentary directed by Rohit Gupta that is set to be released soon.

Can I Go Home Now? by Pritan Ambrose, which made its debut during the festival, was also composed by Rahman.
