Asha Bhosle's Granddaughter Zanai Bhosle to Debut in 'The Pride of Bharat - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj'

The renowned singer announced on social media on Monday that Zanai Bhosle, the granddaughter of Asha Bhosle, will be making her acting debut in Sandeep Singh's film The Pride of Bharat - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

With a video from an event when Sandeep requested Zanai to accept her role in the movie, the 90-year-old singer commented, "@ZanaiBhosle joining the cinema world in the upcoming grand epic #ThePrideofBharat Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj."

"I sincerely hope that she claims her destined position in cinematic history and wish her and @thisissandeeps all the very best," Asha continued, wishing Zanai and Sandeep all the best.

The Maratha Empire was established by the warrior-king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who belonged to the Bhonsle Maratha dynasty in 17th-century India. In the movie, Zanai, who is supposedly a descendant of Shivaji, would play his wife, Rani Sai Bhonsale.

Production on The Pride of Bharat - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is presently underway, with a 2026 theatrical release planned.

Sandeep and Zanai make their feature film debuts, respectively, as filmmakers and actresses. Immerso Studio and Legend Studios are presenting it.
