According to police officials on Saturday, the NIA brought two primary accused in the Rameshwaram Cafe bombing case to the city from Kolkata while they were on transit custody.

Following a standard medical examination, both will be brought before this National Investigation Agency (NIA) court.

The two accused in the bomb case were given a 3-day transit remand by a Kolkata court on Friday, enabling the NIA to transport them to the capital of Karnataka.

Adbul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa and Mussavir Hussain Shazib, both of Kolkata, were taken into custody by the NIA on March 1 for their suspected involvement in the explosion at the Rameshwaram Cafe here that injured ten persons.

The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the cafe was set up by Shazib, according to NIA, and Taahaa was the mastermind.

The NIA declared last month that anyone supplying information that results in the apprehension of these two suspects would receive a reward of Rs 10 lakh each.

On March 1, an IED explosion shook the cafe on ITPL Road in Brookefield, Bengaluru.

On March 3, the NIA took over the investigation.
