When Jasprit Bumrah came up with the temple-point celebration that the Manchester United striker does after scoring a goal on Wednesday, he wasn't thinking about Marcus Rashford.

Prioritizing mental health is suggested by Bumrah's response, which was seen on Wednesday at the Ferozeshah Kotla when he dismissed Afghanistan's opener Ibrahim Zadran.

Speaking of mindspace, Bumrah appears to be in that zone of excellence that is critical for India in the current World Cup, especially in front of their big match against Pakistan on Saturday at the Motera in Ahmedabad.

Because he is a "detached person," Bumrah keeps things straightforward, which makes things easier for him when it's game time. "I consider what I have to do on that specific day. I examine my arrangements. I also tend to be a little aloof. I have no idea what is going on in the globe.

I simply consider what needs to be done on that specific day, and it goes without saying that studying the game and identifying my talents has previously helped me. Following his 4/39 performance in India's eight-wicket victory over Afghanistan on Wednesday, Bumrah remarked, "I keep going forward, keeping all of those things in mind."

Pakistan is full of confidence after defeating Sri Lanka the other night, successfully chasing down a massive 345-run total. So, Bumrah will be essential once more, particularly while facing the elite hitters of the opposition teams.

The key to India's bowling assault, though, appears to be knowing where to concentrate instead than obsessing on the opposition. See, there will be batters on every team. There will be bowlers on every team. We don't have anything special planned for any one side; we have bowlers and batsmen as well.

"Yeah, we're focusing more on ourselves than the others because we've realized that when we focus on our abilities as a team, everything else falls into place. Yes, our team and our preparedness are our main priorities.

"We have the best chance if everything that exists is within our control. Thus, that's the main goal that our team is pursuing," Bumrah highlighted.

In addition to being Bumrah's maiden ODI debut at his home stadium, Saturday's highly anticipated match will also provide him the opportunity to see his mother for the first time in a long time. "There, in early 2021, I participated in a Test match against England.

"So yeah, I'm sure a lot of people will come, and the mood will be exciting. It will be visually stunning. Thus, Bumrah remarked, "I'm hoping for the best over there."
