Senior India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who disclosed that his own neighborhood was experiencing a power outage that lasted more than 30 hours, brought attention to the difficult circumstances Chennai residents are enduring as a result of Cyclone Michaung.
Devastating effects have been caused by Cyclone Michaung in Tamil Nadu and nearby states. Tuesday's rainy spell brought some relief to Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu, but the city also had to deal with widespread water logging, blackouts, and disruptions in mobile networks.
"My neighborhood also went without power for more than 30 hours. I suppose that's the situation everywhere. Ashwin wrote on 'X', the former Twitter, on Tuesday, saying, "Not sure what options we have #ChennaiFloods."
Chennai-based Ashwin has been sharing and uploading multiple videos of the flooded city on 'X'.
No power in my locality for
more than 30 hours too. Guess thats the case in many places.

"Everyone, hold on for another day. It will take time to recover, even if the rain stops. #ChennaiRains2023 #Michaung," the spinner shared a video of a broken road with her post on Monday.
In Tamil Nadu, at least 16 people have died in a variety of rain-related incidents. Workers on farm tractors and fishing boats have been helping to free people who have become stranded in the city.
