Beginning on Wednesday, India and England will play a three-match women's Twenty20 International series with the shared objective of kicking off their preparations for the World Cup, which will be held in Bangladesh the following year.

"We're heading into the World Cup. Each match and series will have a distinct significance. The series against Australia and England will be crucial, according to Amol Muzumdar, the new head coach of the India women.

"We spoke with the players about it, and they are all eager to play. Every action we take on this page is aimed at getting us closer to the World Cup. He declared that the England vs. Australia series would be an excellent way to begin World Cup preparations.

Heather Knight, the captain of England, will want her players to be aware of the circumstances, as they bear similarities to Bangladesh. "Playing in Indian conditions taught me a lot about my game; it really tests your skill level as a cricket player and how well you handle heat and noise," Knight said.

"It's a great place to see how our young players handle it and accelerate development." Since Bangladesh will host the T20 World Cup in 2024, this tour will be beneficial in that it will provide conditions that are similar to those there.
