Darsheel Safary Reunites with Aamir Khan After 16 Years for 'Sitaare Zameen Par'

The actor made a suggestion on Instagram on Monday that he and Aamir Khan, who costarred with him in Taare Zameen Par, would be getting back together for a new movie after 16 years apart.

"BOOMMMMM. After 16 years apart, we're back together. Feeling-wise? Yes, somewhat. Put to the test? With a composite of a shot from the 2007 movie and another from his next project with Aamir, the 26-year-old actor said, "Absolutely." On social media, the image became viral right away.

Darsheel, who called Aamir his "favourite mentor," expressed his admiration for him and urged fans to stay tuned for the major reveal regarding their next movie.

In the collage, the image at the top depicts a moment from the conclusion of Taare Zameen Par in which Darsheel, the kid actor, is shown grinning at his master, Aamir, after winning an art contest. In the photo at the bottom, sixteen years later, Darsheel is a young guy, while Aamir is an elderly man with white hair and a beard.

Sitaare Zameen Par, which is expected to be released around Christmas this year, is purportedly a collaboration between Aamir and Darsheel.

The plot of Taare Zameen Par (2007) centers on Ishaan (Darsheel), a dyslexic youngster who has learning disabilities and suffers in school. When an empathetic art instructor (Aamir) recognizes his skill and assists him in realizing his potential, his journey takes a different direction.

Aamir last appeared in Salaam Venky (2022) as a cameo and in the Hindi version of Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha (2022). In 2023, however, Darsheel acted in two different films: Kutch Express and Hukus Bukus.
