Friends Cast and Showrunners Mourn the Loss of Matthew Perry

Actors David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Anniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc have finally spoken out regarding the passing of Matthew Perry, their co-star on Friends.
The quintet honored Perry, who passed away at the age of 54 on Saturday at his Los Angeles home, with a joint statement released on Monday. The statement was captured exclusively for the American weekly magazine People.
"The loss of Matthew has left all of us feeling utterly devastated. We were not just coworkers on the show. "There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss," they said in the statement. "We are a family," they continued.
Following the actor's passing, Morgan Fairchild, who portrayed Chandler's mother in the show, also shared posts on social media. "I'm devastated by my'son' Matthew Perry's' sudden passing. It's shocking to lose such a talented young actor, she wrote on X.
They go on to say, "In time we will say more, as and when we are able." "For the time being, our love and thoughts are with Matty's friends, family, and everyone who has loved him everywhere in the world."
Executive producer Kevin Bright, co-creators of Friends Marta Kauffman and David Crane, and others released a statement together on Monday. In their letter, they expressed their shock and deep sadness at the loss of their dear friend Matthew, saying, "It still seems impossible." All we can say is that we consider ourselves fortunate to have known him. He had exceptional talent.

Maggie Wheeler, who portrayed Chandler's intermittent girlfriend in Friends, posted on Instagram on Sunday in addition to the main cast and showrunners. What a tragedy. Matthew Perry, you will be missed by all. We will never forget the joy you brought to so many during your far too brief life. She wrote, "Every creative moment we shared makes me feel so very blessed ♥️."
