Despite being named Time magazine's Person of the Year, American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift chose to spend her 34th birthday on a girls' night out in New York City with her best friend Selena Gomez instead of attending the magazine's gala.

The Lover singer was seen out for dinner in New York with Selena, who is enjoying the success of her hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building Season 3. Gomez was dressed in matching high-waisted pants and a black sweater, while Swift was dressed in a camel leather trench coat.

An extended version of Swift's The Eras Tour Concert Film is now available for rent-on-demand in the US, Canada, and other countries starting on Wednesday in honor of the singer's birthday. It features tracks from three albums (Speak Now (2010), 1989 (2014), and Lover (2019)) that weren't featured in the theatrical release, including Wildest Dreams, The Archer, and Long Live.

Gomez captioned the photo, "Happy birthday to the goddess that is @taylorswift."
