India's T20I team, captained by Shubman Gill, will take on a five-match series in Zimbabwe starting on July 6.

For their outstanding IPL performances, Abhishek Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, Riyan Parag, and Nitish Kumar Reddy have all received awards.

In addition, Dhruv Jurel, who made his Test debut against England earlier this year, was called up for the first time to the Twenty20 international team and selected as the second wicketkeeper.

The only two players from the T20 World Cup roster who will be visiting Zimbabwe are Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson. Following the competition, which concludes on June 29, all other World Cup players have been granted a rest.

The T20 World Cup squad has also included its reserves, Avesh Khan, Rinku Singh, and Khaleel Ahmed.

With Rahul Dravid's stint coming to an end with the T20 World Cup, NCA chief VVS Laxman will serve as the temporary head coach.

Tilak Varma has not been included; he is recovering at the NCA after an injury he sustained during the IPL.

For Parag of Assam, who displayed a great deal of maturity during his sixth IPL season with the Rajasthan Royals, this will be a tremendous opportunity. Parag, batting at No. 4, amassed 573 runs in 16 innings, placing him third only to Ruturaj Gaikwad (583), and Kohli (741). Abhishek, the Sunrisers Hyderabad opener, was equally spectacular with 484.
