Former President Ram Nath Kovind Heads Committee, Outcomes of 191 Days of Research
The report of a high-level committee led by former president Ram Nath Kovind on the viability of simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha, state legislatures, and local governments nationwide was turned in on Thursday.
According to a release, the panel delivered the 18,626-page report to President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
It also stated that the study is the result of 191 days of research and intensive engagements with experts and stakeholders since its formation on September 2, 2023.
