High Security Measures as AAP and BJP Gear Up for Protests in Central Delhi

According to police, in anticipation of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP's protests on Friday, security has been ramped up in Central Delhi with multi-layered barricading and the deployment of extra troops.

The BJP has announced that its members would demonstrate against "corruption" in the Arvind Kejriwal administration close to the AAP offices, while the AAP will organize a demonstration outside the BJP headquarters over alleged cheating in the Chandigarh mayoral elections.

According to an official, multi-layered barriers have been erected adjacent to the BJP and AAP party headquarters, and the roads leading to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg have been blocked since the morning.

Less than a few hundred meters separates the two parties' headquarters, which are located on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg.

According to the police official, plans have been established so that the employees of the two sides are unable to interact in person.

Considerable security measures have been put in place in light of the demonstrations.

More staff members have been assigned. Nobody will be permitted to disobey the law, the officer said.

According to police, there would be heavy traffic on the Deen Dayal Upadhayay Marg, necessitating detours.

Kejriwal, the national convener of the AAP and chief minister of Delhi, along with Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, will participate in the party's protest. It is anticipated that both leaders would arrive at 11 a.m.

The BJP won the Chandigarh mayoral elections on Tuesday, handily defeating the Congress and the AAP, who are both members of the opposing INDIA alliance.

The Delhi BJP said that Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, the Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, and its president, Virendra Sachdeva, would be participating in a protest against the "corruption" in the Kejriwal administration.
