ICSE and ISC 2024 Exam Results to be Announced Today

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced that the results for the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) 2024 examinations will be published today, May 6, 2024, at 11am. The announcement was made by Joseph Emmanuel, the new Chief Executive and Secretary of the CISCE.

Approximately 2,45,000 students across the country sat for the ICSE exams, while around 1,00,000 candidates appeared for the ISC papers this year. In Bengal alone, there were about 50,000 ICSE examinees and about 27,000 ISC examinees.

The ICSE 2024 exams were held from February 21 to March 28, and the ISC 2024 exams were conducted from February 12 to April 4. In an unexpected turn of events, the chemistry and psychology tests for ISC were postponed at the last moment and held on a later date.

The council has confirmed that the results will be available on its official websites - cisce.org and results.cisce.org. Schools can also access the results on the Careers portal, and students can check their results on the DigiLocker portal.

Over the weekend, due to the circulation of fake circulars, thousands of anxious students kept checking the council’s website in the hope of accessing their results.

The council has also provided an option for candidates or school heads to apply for a “recheck of results”. The recheck module will be activated after the declaration of results today and will be available until May 10, 2024. During the recheck, three things will be verified - whether there was any totalling error, whether any answer was unmarked, and whether there was any transcription error.

If any candidate is not satisfied with the recheck result, they will be permitted to apply for re-evaluation of the answer script. School heads can also apply for re-evaluation of answer scripts of students of their institutions.

For candidates wishing to improve their marks, the council has provided an option to appear for an improvement test in up to two subjects. The improvement exams will be held in July 2024.

The results of the recheck will be declared on the council’s website, within four weeks of receiving the applications. The council has urged students to remain patient and assured them that every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the results.
