James Anderson Reveals Kuldeep Yadav's Premonition About Historic Wicket

James Anderson, who last week became the first pacer to 700 Test wickets, disclosed that Kuldeep Yadav had a sneaking suspicion that he would be taking the Englishman's historic wicket.

Kuldeep narrowly defeated the third man for a single. Only the third bowler to reach the milestone, Anderson stated on the BBC's Tailenders podcast that he shouted, "I'm going to be your 700th wicket" as he went to the non-striker's end and as I was walking back to my mark at the last Test in Dharamsala.

"He was only expressing his feelings; he wasn't implying that he was attempting to flee. We both chuckled over it.

Shane Warne and Muthiah Muralidaran, both spinners, are the two bowlers who have taken 700 wickets in Test matches.

Nonetheless, the 41-year-old Anderson claimed that if England had prevailed in the series, which they lost1-4, the occasion would have been more festive.

The series opener in Hyderabad was only won by the visitors.

"There was nothing to celebrate, therefore I didn't celebrate. It goes without saying that accomplishing the task on such beautiful terrain was a great moment. If we had prevailed, I think my excitement would have increased.

"I play cricket to win matches for my team, not to achieve milestones in the game."
