Kalki 2898 AD Teaser: Prabhas Relies on AI Companion Bujji in Dystopian World
Film draws comparison to Netflix's Atlas, introduces character at launch event
With a little assistance from his AI-driven companion Bujji, Prabhas' Bhairava traverses a dystopian future in a brand-new teaser for Kalki 2898 AD released by production company Vyjayanthi Movies on Wednesday.
In the next sci-fi epic by Nag Ashwin Reddy, Bhairava's victory over enemies is contingent upon this futuristic vehicle, akin to the figure played by Jennifer Lopez in Netflix's Atlas.
At the outset, Bhairava and Bujji are shown together, with the latter mocking Prabhas's main character about his poor prospects of success. The teaser concludes with shots of Bujji speeding across a wide desert dotted with the remains of other devices.
Fans in Hyderabad were first introduced to Bujji at a teaser-launch event after the video was made public on social media. Images from the occasion were posted to Vyjayanthi Movies' Instagram stories.
Kalki 2898 AD, which is slated to hit theaters on June 27, also features Amitabh Bachchan, a seasoned actor from Bollywood. The 81-year-old actor is shown in a recent teaser video released by the production team as Ashwatthama, the Mahabharata's eternal son of Drona.

Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani will all have significant parts in the movie. Djordje Stojiljkovic handled the cinematography for Kalki 2898 AD, while Santhosh Narayanan composed the music.
