Bollywood actor Kevin Hart thinks "Lift" would be a big hit in India and thinks Taj Mahal would be an excellent setting for a heist film.

Known for roles in movies including "Ride Along," "Central Intelligence," and the "Jumanji" saga, the actor-com comedian is the leader of the ensemble cast of the Netflix original show, which centers on a group of professional thieves. An Interpol agent hires them to carry out a gold theft worth USD 500 million from a passenger jet at 40,000 feet.

When asked if he had a particular site in mind if he were to make a movie in India, the 44-year-old actor replied, "Taj Mahal would be great."

"I believe it would be greatly appreciated in India. India is a fantastic site for a heist, Hart told PTI.

One of Hart's crew members, Ursula Corbero (of "Money Heist" fame), mentioned Taj Mahal as a fantastic place to set a heist film.

Although Gugu Mbatha-Raw has never traveled to India, she expressed her desire to go there. The performer takes on the part of an Interpol agent enlisting the crew to carry out the theft.

"I always wanted to go to India but I've never been (there)," she stated.

"Lift" (directed by F Gary Gray) opens on January 12 and stars Vincent D'Onofrio, Billy Magnussen, Viveik Kalra, Yun Jee Kim, and Sam Worthington.

According to Hart, he has no problem with the film being a possible franchise.

"With everything, the expectation is that it will continue to succeed. Of course, a big factor in this is the audience and fans. Everything we need to create that chance is here.

There is an easy flow to the story that we kind of put together in this combination, and you want to care about (these) individuals and keep reading." If we succeed, a franchise would be awesome," he remarked.

"The Morning Show" and "Loki" star Mbatha-Raw stated she had a blast filming the movie in a fantastic setting.

"Having the entire international cast with us in Italy was such a gift. It would be fantastic, in my opinion, if we could accomplish more. It's really fun to hang around with that group of performers," she remarked.
