Kiara Advani Joins Cast of Don 3, Replacing Priyanka Chopra Opposite Ranveer Singh
Glamorous Addition to Farhan Akhtar's Action Franchise
Following Priyanka Chopra, Kiara Advani will now glam up the underworld as she gets cast in Farhan Akhtar's forthcoming action film Don 3, the producers said on Tuesday via an Instagram video.
The production company Excel Entertainment said, "Welcome to the Don universe @kiaraaliaadvani #Don3," as the Instagram caption for one of their photos.
The video introduces Kiara as the newest member of the Don world, all set to the iconic theme music from the series. In 1978, Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman made their feature film debuts in the series. In 2006 and 2011, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra starred in the follow-ups. In Don 3, the fourth installment of the series, Kiara plays the female protagonist while Ranveer Singh takes over as the male lead from Shah Rukh Khan. In the film is included Priyanka Chopra.
In the romance movie Satyaprem Ki Katha directed by Sameer Vidwans, Kiara last appeared with Kartik Aaryan. Kiara will appear in S. Shankar's Game Changer opposite Ram Charan in addition to War 2, the action sequel to YRF Spy Universe starring Hrithik Roshan.
However, in Rohit Shetty's Singham, Ranveer Singh will play ACP Sangram Bhalerao, also known as Simmba, once again. One more follow-up to the 2014 action film Singham Returns.
In 2025, Don 3 is expected to open in theaters.
