After a 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth on Sunday, Liverpool increased their lead over the top five teams in the English Premier League to 14 games.

The visitors were upset by their lack of scoring opportunities in a cagey first half, but they picked up their game after the interval, as Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota each scored twice.

After a deft passing maneuver opened up Bournemouth's defense in the 49th minute, Nunez made it 1-0. Then, in the 70th and 79th minutes, the formidable Jota put the game beyond the hosts' grasp with two more precise goals.

With his second goal in stoppage time, Uruguayan Nunez sealed a commanding performance for Liverpool.

With 21 games played, Liverpool has 48 points, while the reigning champions, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Aston Villa, have 43 points.

With 25 points, Bournemouth is in 12th position.

Ollie McBurnie, a substitute for Sheffield United, struck a penalty deep into stoppage time to give the lowest team a well-earned 2-2 home draw with sixth-place West Ham United. The game saw late sending offs for both teams.

The Hammers' Ivorian winger Maxwel Cornet capitalized on a deflected Danny Ings shot to score the game's opening goal in the 28th minute, punishing the home side for their poor finishing. The home team had a strong start.

Just before the half, Ben Brereton Diaz, a Chilean international born in England, gave the Blades a second chance when West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola parried a header from William Osula.

Following Ings' upset by Gustavo Hamer, McBurnie scored from the penalty spot for West Ham in the 79th minute. Both teams then had a player sent off before McBurnie fouled Areola and smashed the ball past replacement keeper Lukasz Fabianski in the 13th minute of stoppage time to secure a point.

"Big Dog" is back!

Brentford defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2 at home on Saturday to snap a five-game losing skid. Ivan Toney, an England striker, scored 19 minutes into his eight-month sentence for betting offenses.

After being given the captain's armband and greeted with much enthusiasm upon his return, the 27-year-old "Big Dog" launched his season with an incredible free kick that curved over the defensive wall to the right.

But according to television replays, he moved the ball twice from its original position without notifying the referee.

The game became more lively as Brazilian midfielder Danilo calmed the crowd in the third minute with an incredible half-volley that went right past goalkeeper Mark Flekken. Brentford then started to click and the atmosphere warmed up.

Manchester United attacks its neighbors

Manchester: In a spectacular show of ambition, Manchester United raided rivals Manchester City and on Saturday night, the club unveiled Omar Berrada as their new CEO.

After seeing success both on and off the field with City Football Group, Berrada seems to be the right kind of replacement for Richard Arnold, who departed the club in November.

Berrada has worked with Man City for over ten years; as of late, he has served as the chief football operations officer.

According to the British press agency PA, Jim Ratcliffe, whose company Ineos has reached an agreement to purchase a maximum of a 25% share in the team, was consulted when Berrada was selected by United owners Joel and Avram Glazer.

United, who have stated Patrick Stewart would stay on as interim chief executive for the time being, will announce Berrada's start date with his new club in due course.

The announcement of Omar Berrada's selection as Manchester United's next CEO is made with great pleasure. The club is committed to placing on-field performance and football back at the center of all we do, according to United.
