Kylian Mbappe, the striker for Paris Saint-Germain, was absent from the team that traveled to Nice in the French league due to hamstring strain in his left leg, the club announced.

In a rescheduled match, PSG, who has already won a record 12 league titles, takes against the Riviera club. Then, on Sunday, PSG will play their final league game at Metz.

Ousmane Dembélé, a forward for PSG, will also be absent due to an injury sustained during last weekend's 3-1 loss to Toulouse.

In what was to be his final home game for the team, Mbappé scored his 27th goal of the season—a league-high total—against Toulouse.

Mbappé notified the team in February and made his departure official last week. He will be leaving at the conclusion of the season. Mbappé has not yet disclosed his plans, but it is generally assumed that he will sign with Real Madrid.

PSG is hoping he will be ready to play in the French Cup final on May 25 against Lyon, where he will have the opportunity to add to his club-record 256 goals scored.

Fifth position Nice can still make it into the Champions League for the following season despite being four points behind Lille and Brest.
