India's five-Test series opponent, the visiting spinners, would be more competitive if turning surfaces are prepared, according to former England captain Nasser Hussain.

Along with Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed, the uncapped pair of Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir have been picked as members of England's quadruple spin attack.

In addition, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav have been picked by India as part of their team for the first two Tests, which start on January 25, along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

“I think what India should do is ask for good pitches that spin a bit because I think their spinners and batters will then out-bat and out-spin ours,” stated Hussain on the Sky Sports Cricket podcast.

It becomes somewhat of a lottery and involves England's spinners if they want pitches with a lot of spin. They won't pass away in the dark concerning Bazball's methods of operation.

Hussain also claimed that Indian fans are anxious to watch how their side can confront England’s Bazball tactics. "I got the impression during the World Cup that many Indian fans are holding out to figure out how to end Bazball."
