Pakistan's Lack of Attitude Caused Loss to Afghanistan, Says Babar Azam

The lack of attitude displayed by Pakistan's players, according to skipper Babar Azam, was the cause of Monday's eight-wicket loss to Afghanistan. Every aspect of the game requires extra work from the crew.

Pakistan was actually on the verge of elimination with the shocking loss since they must win all four of their remaining games to guarantee a spot in the semifinals.

The fielding of Babar's team was shoddy, especially around the boundary ropes, and they also gave up a few overthrows.

"Fielding is always done with attitude, only attitude. And I don't notice the team having any attitude. At the news conference following the game, Babar emphasized the necessity for extra effort and physical fitness.

"You should concentrate on the ball, not on other things, and as a fielder, you must be aggressive when the ball arrives. Therefore, I believe that as a fielding unit, we are a little behind.

This Friday's game between Pakistan and South Africa will determine their fate. Babar claimed that in the remaining games, his side needs a fresh strategy.

"We will have to go with a different plan, a different mindset, we will try to bring a positive vibe in the team," the skipper stated.

"I hope we take something away from this defeat to Afghanistan. We will be severely hurt. We'll make an effort to discuss only about good things.

We will also discuss the things we did poorly, though. How we will approach it going forward. because a different team plays in every match.

Babar acknowledged that his squad has struggled in some areas of the game.

We occasionally perform well in bowling but poorly in batting. We don't perform as well in fielding when we bat well.

Despite having one of the strongest pace bowling attacks in the world, Pakistan has fallen short of expectations in this competition by giving up runs easily.

Babar acknowledged that the team has suffered greatly without pacer Naseem Shah. "Naseem is greatly missed. We have one of the best bowling lineups, though, other from that. But I don't think we can connect.

When asked if the team's confidence had suffered after the loss to India, he responded, "No, I don't think so. That is not how it is. As we saw in Australia's match, we nearly reached 300 points.
