PM Modi Launches NDA's Bihar Election Campaign, Stresses Development, Unity, and Criticizes Dynastic Politics

With consecutive public gatherings in Begusarai and Aurangabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) Lok Sabha election campaign in Bihar.

Alongside Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his "guarantee," he promoted togetherness and fraternity while making promises of development and criticizing dynastic politics.

Nitish met Modi at the airport in Gaya, and the two leaders took a helicopter to Aurangabad to address the crowd. This was their first time sharing a dais in over eighteen months, since Nitish had once again broken away from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form a coalition with the Mahagathbandhan before joining the NDA a month prior.

Accepted with a massive garland of flowers, Modi opted to alleviate the unseen discomfort that hovered big over the assembly, a shadow cast by the recent somersault of Nitish. Grabbing Nitish's arm, he dragged him inside to convey a message of harmony and goodwill to the populace.

Nitish also made an attempt to take off the gloom from his flip-flops, which made the crowd and leaders—including Governor Rajendra Arlekar and Modi—laugh a lot. Modi was struck speechless by it.

"I'm glad you came by today. I promise that I won't be coming here or there again, even if I had vanished in the meantime. I'll be at your side forever. As a result, the state should do its task more quickly. The chief minister said, "I think the Prime Minister will continue to visit Bihar."

The national president of Janata Dal United (JDU), Nitish, continued, expressing his "complete confidence that (the NDA) will win at least 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections." People that go about aimlessly won't accomplish anything. You (Modi) will be credited with any progress made in this regard.

Claiming that his goal was the advancement of all people and the betterment of the economy, Nitish urged everyone to live in harmony, cooperate, and avoid conflict. At Begusarai, he made similar remarks.

Leaders of the BJP and JDU saw these as measures by Modi and Nitish to make sure that the regime transition in Bihar, which occurred a little more than a month ago, is not misinterpreted by the public but rather becomes a vote.

Speaking on the occasion, Modi discussed the many infrastructure projects that were being started or inaugurated and said that the state will see a flood of growth under the "double engine" administration.

Recalling the dedication ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple, the Prime Minister expressed his belief that Bihar's people would be the happiest since their state was home to Goddess Sita. In addition, he expressed gratitude to the state for sending presents to Ayodhya and went into attack mode without mentioning his opponents by name.

After seeing the excitement of the people who have flocked to this place in such great numbers, those who have fantasies of pillaging Bihar are terrified. The dynastic political forces have been pushed to the periphery by the NDA's growing influence, according to Modi.

"The paradox lies in the fact that they inherit the party and kursi (power) from their parents, yet they are afraid to acknowledge the contributions made during their parents' administrations," Modi said.

Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the head of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and a former deputy chief minister of Bihar, was obviously the focus of the prime minister's ire.

He continued by saying he has heard that several top leaders of these parties are seeking seats in the Rajya Sabha instead of running for office in the Lok Sabha because they believe the people is not ready to accept them.

In a same spirit, Modi said in Begusarai that dynasty politics had harmed Bihar for many years. Social justice and family-friendly politics are mutually incompatible. Saturation and fulfillment, not placation, are the sources of true social fairness. "Youth talent is harmed by dynastic politics," he said.

Speaking in reference to the problems with law and order that plagued the RJD government from 1990 to 2005, Modi stated: "There was a time when people were afraid to leave their homes." The young were forced to move during this period of chaos, uncertainty, and fear. Modi's assurances include peace, development, rule of law, and women's rights in Bihar.

It's time to help young people enhance their talents. To encourage handicrafts, we are building a Rs 200 crore unity mall in Patna. Bihar won't advance unless its dismal development is addressed. The state is now investigating tourism-related opportunities, Modi said.

During the public rally in Begusarai, the Prime Minister dedicated projects worth Rs 1.62 lakh crore nationwide and lay the foundation stones for them.
