Shatrughan Sinha Shares Joyous Moments from Daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s Wedding to Zaheer Iqbal

Thanks to everyone who joined them on their wonderful day, Shatrughan Sinha has released photos and videos from his daughter Sonakshi Sinha's wedding to her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal.

The 77-year-old actor and politician posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, saying, "With an attitude of gratitude we would like to thank everyone for celebrating with us on our special day seems to be the 'wedding of the century' with your warmth, love, and congratulatory messages for our darling daughter #SonakshiSinha with #ZaheerIqbal as they start a new chapter in their beautiful journey of their lives."

Sonakshi and Zaheer are shown doing a pooja together in one of Shatrughan's videos. Another video shows Sonakshi wearing a white sari with embroidery while strolling beneath a canopy of flowers.

Sonakshi looks stunning in a red banarasi silk sari captured in photos from their reception, while Zaheer looks dashing in a white kurta. Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha, Sonakshi's parents, are also depicted in the pictures. Poonam chose a sequined beige suit, while Shatrughan wore a blue kurta.

Media rumors claim that Sonakshi and Zaheer got together while filming Notebook (2017). The duo worked together on the Blockbuster music video, which was released in September 2022. They then appeared together in the comedy-drama Double XL (2022).

Sonakshi disclosed in her wedding post that she and Zaheer dated for seven years before to getting married. "We witnessed love in its purest form in each other's eyes on this very day, June 23, 2017, seven years ago, and we resolved to hold on to it. With the help of our families and both of our gods, we are finally married thanks to the love that has led us through all of the hardships and victories that have preceded us. From now until forever, here's to love, hope, and everything lovely with each other, the actress of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan wrote on Instagram beside the carousel.

On June 23, the pair got married at Sonakshi's Bandra apartment. Actress Huma Qureshi, singer Honey Singh, and the groom's father Iqbal Ratansi were among the family members encircling them.

Sonakshi last appeared with Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut online series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Netflix is presently streaming the historical drama series.
